Purchasing Agent – New Jersey Area

We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Agent to support our industrial sales and service operations across three branch locations. This role is responsible for converting internal requisitions into purchase orders, coordinating with vendors, verifying acknowledgements, reconciling pricing and delivery dates, and ensuring a smooth handoff to our accounting department.

The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple vendors, branches, and internal stakeholders.

Compensation: $55,000 – $65,000
Schedule: 8:00am – 4:30pm

Key Responsibilities:

The following represents a list of essential duties and responsibilities:

• Process internal purchase requisitions and convert them into accurate purchase orders

• Issue purchase orders to approved vendors and confirm receipt

• Review and reconcile vendor order acknowledgements for A) pricing accuracy  B) Quantities

• Lead times and expected delivery dates

• Communicate discrepancies or changes to internal teams (sales, service, operations)

• Coordinate expected delivery dates to support scheduling and customer commitments

• Maintain accurate purchasing records within ERP/accounting systems

• Prepare purchase documentation for smooth transition to accounting (invoicing, receiving, matching)

• Assist with vendor communication, follow-ups, and issue resolution

• Support inventory replenishment and branch-specific purchasing needs

• Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures

Required Qualifications
• 2+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain support

• Experience working with vendors in an industrial, manufacturing, or service environment

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to manage multiple purchase orders simultaneously

• Proficient in ERP systems, accounting software, and Microsoft Excel

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in industrial equipment, compressed air, mechanical, or technical sales/service environments

• Multi-branch or multi-location purchasing experience

• Familiarity with inventory management and receiving processes

• Understanding of accounting workflows (3-way match: PO, receipt, invoice)

Job Description

The System Integration Specialist for our Ohio Division is responsible for driving revenue on mechanical sales/service jobs and ensuring those jobs are completed to a high level of quality while enhancing profitability.

Key Responsibilities

The following represents a list of essential duties and responsibilities:

• Liaise with all company departments, personnel and management to meet role objectives

• Self-generate >$1M in profitable Mechanical Service revenue annually

• Maintain the prescribed Daily Sales Activities for the position

• Follow up on all Mechanical Leads that are generated

• Perform ride-alongs and work directly with Systems Specialists on new equipment installations

•  Aggressively solicit current Airmatic customer base for Mechanical Service opportunities

• Prospect competitive accounts for new business opportunities within the territory

• Work with Contractors on new facility buildouts etc.

• Work and track project reports (e.g. PEC Reports) for Mechanical Service opportunities

• Walk customer and prospect facilities (demand/supply sides) looking for all value-add service areas

• Perform all Mechanical Sales and Mechanical Service project scopes

• Perform all Leak Surveys

• Quote Mechanical Sales and Mechanical Service jobs in ServMan

• Manage all bid work for Mechanical jobs

• Manage the Mechanical project Sales Funnel in ServMan

• Negotiate pricing to close business with the Systems Specialists and Director of Sales

• Provide project mgmt. assistance to Mechanical Service Mgr. on large, complex or critical projects

• Assist on the project execution side w/ MST’s if additional manpower is required or needed

• Provide a level of QC on FST workmanship and communicate any shortcomings to mgmt.

• Compressor field work competency is a plus and may be required

Training and Development

• Continuous improvement in job knowledge including products, technical application, sales strategies and tactics is required

• Participating in educational opportunities, professional organizations, reading professional publications and networking is recommended

Experience Requirements
• Highly experienced piping system design

• Minimum 3 years of relevant industrial experience (Compressed Air or HVAC industries strongly preferred)

• Must understand cost estimating, budgets, and build scopes

• Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

• Must be proficient in computer technology and software: spreadsheets, word processing, email etc.

• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license

About the Role

We’re seeking a Service Technician to join our field service team. In this role, you’ll perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on both oil-injected and oil-free air compressors. You’ll ensure our customers’ systems operate efficiently, safely, and dependably — all while representing Airmatic’s commitment to exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

· Perform routine preventative maintenance and repairs per manufacturer recommendations.

· Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair malfunctioning compressors using strong mechanical and electrical skills.

· Test and document compressor performance before and after service.

· Maintain a safe work environment, following all PPE and safety protocols.

· Act as a brand ambassador by providing top-notch customer service and clear communication.

· Participate in ongoing training to build expertise in VSDs, refrigeration, industrial networks, and remote monitoring.

Qualifications & Skill Requirements

· High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree preferred.

· Prior experience in mechanical or electrical repair preferred.

· Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record.

· Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

· Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

· Comfortable working on ladders, lifts, and in varied industrial environments.

· Must provide basic tools.

· Availability for on-call work (evenings, weekends, holidays).

Field Service Technician – Compressed Air Systems (Cleveland Area)

The Service Technician will perform routine, preventative maintenance and repairs on oil-injected and oil-free air compressors. Preventative maintenance should be conducted in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations (with regards to schedule and scope). A main responsibility of this role is to troubleshoot and perform diagnostics on malfunctioning compressors, determine possible causes for malfunctions, and perform repairs as suggested by diagnostics and assessment. Prior to and following preventative maintenance and repairs, they are responsible to test and document the proper operating parameters of the compressor. At Airmatic Compressor, safety is a priority, all technicians are required to promote and practice proper safety procedures and the correct use of personal protective equipment at all times. The ideal candidate should display the ability to absorb a higher level of learning, through continuous on the job and classroom training which includes VSD’s, refrigeration, industrial networks and remote monitoring.

Customer Service

The Service Technician serves as a brand ambassador for the company, promoting Airmatic Compressor and its high standards of providing exceptional service. They provide a high level of customer service, responding to customer needs and working to satisfy customer expectations within a timely manner. The Service Technician can guarantee returned business by developing rapport with customers through effective communication, interpersonal skills, and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

· Able to read and write in English

· Have a valid driver’s license, as well as an insurable driving record

· Supply all basic required tools

· Familiar with working in an industrial facility environment

· Possess strong mechanical / electrical troubleshooting and repair skills

· Able to comprehend electrical & mechanical schematics / diagrams

· Experience with basic industrial electrical systems; AC motors, motor controls, machine controls circuits

· Knowledge of AC Variable Frequency Drives

· Knowledge of compressed air systems and process piping

· Knowledge of refrigeration systems

· Proficient in Windows, MS Office (Word, Excel), and email communications

· Proficient with electronic Work Orders, uploading/downloading controls software, website / portal research

· Able to work well with others on the jobsite, as well as on the phone

· Able to work on a regular basis in a variety of environments including extremes in temperature

· Able to perform various physical tasks including continuous walking, lifting, reaching, bending, kneeling etc.

· Able to work on a ladder and/or scissor lift

· Willing to be clean shaven if needed for certain customer requirements

· Able to work independently with strong self-management and professionalism

· Able to complete work within assigned deadlines

· Available for on-call work on evenings, weekends, and holidays

· Able to travel out of the area and overnight for training

· Able to work the service hours of operation, 7:30am-4:30pm
